Morrisons is leaning into festive cheer this Christmas, bringing back last year’s singing oven mitt puppets for a new rendition of You Give a Little Love from Bugsy Malone.
Launching during ITV’s Coronation Street this evening (4 November), the ad spotlights a lone oven glove, which bursts into song, encouraging home cooks and hosts who will be serving up Christmas dinner from the retailer’s Best range.
The ad moves through kitchens, showing a series of hosts preparing birds, seafood platters, and seasonal sweets with support from the singing gloves.

Directed by The Greatest Showman’s Michael Gracey, the ad will also be cut up for a social media marketing series, giving the gloves their own platform to showcase dishes, share hosting tips, and even reveal bloopers as we get closer to the big day.
The ad celebrates real Morrisons staff with a choir of 26 colleagues voicing the gloves’ performance.
“Morrisons is here to ensure that every host can put on the greatest show at home this Christmas,” said Alex Rogerson, Morrisons group customer and marketing officer. “With our top-quality range and a little help from the gloves, we want to make sure every host shines.”
A 20-second spin-off ad is yet to come, featuring last year’s fan-favourite Cat Glove, introducing Kitten Mittens. Morrisons is building a light-hearted Christmas campaign spanning across TV, digital, social media, and radio, including festive-themed unboxing videos and cooking tips to inspire hosts to take centre stage this Christmas.
