Ariel and Fairy brand owner P&G is to sponsor the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Following on from the company’s Proud Sponsor of Mums marketing push, P&G’s activity around the games will aim to recognise the achievements of the mothers of Paralympic athletes.
“We want to celebrate the dedication of Paralympic mums who have helped to make their son or daughter’s dream a reality,” said Irwin Lee, vice president and managing director at P&G UK and Ireland. The company already sponsors the Olympic Games.
P&G has also joined forces with Sainsbury’s to host the Super Saturday family festival that will bring together Paralympic athletes and music acts to celebrate Paralympic sports on 10 September at Clapham Common, London.
The festival will aim to raise awareness of the Paralympic Games, and all proceeds will go to The Paralympic Legacy Fund.
