Parfetts has appointed Jamie Ferguson as its new head of marketing.
Ferguson was appointed as the interim head of marketing at Parfetts in November, before being given the position on a permanent basis.
He previously worked at a number of PR agencies including PWLC, Home and L&K.
Before joining Parfetts, Ferguson spent 10 years at Banana Kick, where he managed the marketing for leading symbol groups including Nisa and Costcutter.
“Jamie is a talented marketer who brings a lot of experience to the role,” said Parfetts joint MD Guy Swindell.
“He is already making an impact on our wide-ranging online and offline offering across B2B and B2C channels.
“As we continue to grow, it’s important our customers get the support they need in terms of impactful promotions and wider marketing. Jamie is ensuring we provide it.”
The news comes after the wholesaler recorded a 25% rise in pre-tax profits for the year to June 2021, following a strong pandemic performance.
Ferguson said: “Thanks to its employee ownership model, Parfetts has a unique culture. I think this is key to everything we do and gives us a real point of difference.
“I look forward to supporting the business on the next phase of its growth plan and helping retailers across the country develop their businesses.”
