Parfetts has reported a rise in Christmas sales of 8.8%.
The Stockport-based wholesaler posted a 12.5% increase (excluding cigarettes) in the five-week period.
The centralisation of all of the company’s six branches to its Stockport head office, modernisation, and customer development is “already producing results”, said joint managing director Greg Suszczenia.
“All these initiatives have played their part in the growth that we achieved over the Christmas period but it wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of our depot teams, as well as the support from our excellent range of suppliers,” said Suszczenia.
“I’d like to thank them all for their hard work and commitment over the last 12 months.”
Parfetts has “ambitious plans” for 2017, including the expansion of its retail club and fascia stores to 2,000 and 400 stores respectively.
“With our improved logistics capability, we are now able to open up our service to wider geographical areas,” added Suszczenia.
