Former Tesco marketing director Paschalis Loucaides has moved to Too Good to Go as UK country manager.
Loucaides joined the food waste app this week to lead its UK team in driving its key partnerships and growing its number of consumer app users. Reducing food waste across the country is also core to his role.
He will report to Too Good to Go’s global management team in Copenhagen to ensure the UK aligns with its global aspirations.
Loucaides has been appointed to bring his extensive experience from the retail, hospitality and leisure industries, alongside his passion for sustainability. He spent over six years at P&G in various roles including innovation manager for new marketing models, before becoming Pizza Express’s senior brand manager in 2009. He then moved to Carluccio’s as marketing manager for three years before being appointed by Tesco as its marketing director, followed by head of retail for Vue Entertainment.
Loucaides also founded sustainability-led restaurant Cut + Grind Burgers in September 2017.
“I’m really excited to join Too Good to Go and take the helm of the UK operation,” said Loucaides. “Running a restaurant, I saw first-hand how important it is for food businesses to manage food waste, and I know Too Good to Go is the best-in-class solution.
“Having also implemented sustainability practices in some of the UK’s most loved hospitality brands, I’m looking forward to applying all the skills I have learned to help Too Good to Go reach, and exceed, its potential.”
