Bernard Matthews' range of cooked meats has taken top spot in Slimming Magazine's Light & Low Awards for the second time. Its range of sliced cooked poultry product was voted top meat product for the second time in two years.
Vitabiotics' Wellwoman capsules are to be a headline sponsor at the 2001 Women of the Year Awards for the music industry and related media this year. Wellwoman will sponsor the Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel at Hyde Park Corner in London on Thursday, November 29. Guests will have the chance to have either Wellwoman or Wellman capsules with their dinner.

North west based supermarket chain Booths is to sell smaller eggs in boxes of nine. Preston based producer J Rainford & Sons, a member of the RSPCA's Freedom Food scheme, is supplying the packs which it claimed appealed to children.

Dutch bakery Bakkersland is introducing three varieties of De Graaf branded longlife ambient breads to the UK, it has revealed. The new range includes Ciabatta and Focaccia in 225g packs and four croissants in a 100g pack. A 225g mixed pack containing croissants and rolls is also being launched.
National Cranberry Week starts on Monday, November 26.
