PayPoint and eBay have struck up a strategic partnership to give buyers and sellers on eBay access to the Collect+ network’s click & collect services.
The deal will give eBay customers the option of getting parcels delivered to 2,500 selected Collect+ locations, and make eBay the first multi-carrier partner for Collect+ and PayPoint. It will begin from September and October in readiness for Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the Christmas period, and there are plans to expand the partnership across the rest of the network.
PayPoint is also launching an app called Parcels for retailers in time for the partnership’s start. It’s designed to help improve in-store operations by having parcels scanned in a separate area from the main tills, as well as accepting delivery driver notifications via smartphone. It will be available on iOS and Android.

The reach of our network ensures we’re available wherever and whenever our customers need us - especially given the increasingly blurred lines between online and offline shopping.”
Taylor said that the move came as part of a strategy to make Collect+ the industry’s solution for multi-carrier online collection or delivery. “The deal represents a significant boost in footfall and possible sales for our Collect+ retailers,” he said.
Rob Hattrell, eBay’s UK VP, said it was striving to make shopping as convenient as possible for customers through the partnership.
