PayPoint is now accepting Western Union payments from retailers through its terminals.
Retailers previously required a PC, printer and broadband to offer the service. PayPoint described the response from retailers to its initial marketing drive as "significant".
"The touchscreen transaction process is quick and easy, and, for agents offering money transfer for the first time, it will increase footfall by attracting a whole new type of customer," said Mike Igoe, retail strategy director at PayPoint.
