Calbee UK has secured its first national listing for its recently launched Yushoi Snapea rice sticks brand.
The four-strong range, which comprises lightly salted, soy & balsamic vinegar, sweet chilli & lemon and smoked salt & Szechuan pepper, is this week being rolled into more than 300 of The Co-operative Group’s ‘core’ stores.
Pitched as a “healthy alternative” to fried crisps, the green pea-based snacks are nut and dairy-free, with each 21g pack containing 99 calories.
“We know we have a fantastic product that provides a balance of great taste while also being better for you,” said business unit controller Catherine Fay, adding the business was “really pleased” to announce its first national listing.
Yushoi Snapea, launched in July, secured listings with Whole Foods Market and Selfridges last month.
Deeside-based Calbee UK is the European subsidiary of Japanese snack giant Calbee Inc.
