Pepsi is the latest brand to use mobile phone text messaging in a teenage-targeted music-related promotion.
Pepsi and 7Up 330ml and 500ml packs will carry numbers that teens can use to text a blag' a reason why they should receive a ticket to a dance music event being staged by clubbing brand Cream. The promotion, according to Britvic Soft Drinks' director of brand marketing Cathryn Sleight, "will appeal to the mobile phone generation of 16 to 24 year olds". Britvic is also running The Pepsi Chart Stars promotion, giving away a million CDs (featuring songs from pop stars S Club 7, Ronan Keating, Samantha Mumba and Atomic Kitten) in 12-packs of Pepsi 330ml.
S Club 7 will also appear on 2 litre and six-packs in seven limited editions (one edition per band member) as part of the Pepsi Ask for More' music campaign.
Britvic is also launching a new 4 x 1.5 litre Pepsi multipack.
