PepsiCo UK vice president sales Tom Kuzio is leaving the UK to spearhead global sales initiatives across all categories as senior vice president sales PepsiCo International.
Andy Williams, currently the regional vice president for Pepsi, will replace Kuzio in the UK.
Kuzio, who is American, first worked at PepsiCo UK from 1990 to 1994 and then returned in 1999 to help improve the Walkers business. PepsiCo UK said business volume growth had since doubled and Kuzio had created a new snack segment underpinned by Doritos and Walkers Sensations.
Martin Glenn, president of
PepsiCo UK, said that Kuzio’s contribution had been immense and added: “His infectious, unreasonable optimism and obsession with execution quite simply changed the landscape of the UK snack food market where he has led and shaped a team which has created in-store impact never seen before in the UK.”
Williams has worked in the Pepsi business for 18 years in the UK, Europe and the US in a number of sales, marketing and general management roles.
In 1997 he moved to Ireland as general manager and in 1999 he became regional vice president for the Sub-Sahara Africa region, adding the UK and Ireland to his portfolio in 2000.
Peter Gutierrez, general manager for Thailand has taken over Williams’ former role.
