The duo are the UK’s first-ever flavoured RTD matcha lattes, according to PerfectTed

PerfectTed is to expand its RTD offer with a duo of flavoured matcha lattes.

Strawberry Matcha Latte and Vanilla Matcha Latte (rsp: £2/250ml) will roll into Tesco, Waitrose and Holland & Barrett From April. They will also be available on Amazon and via DTC.

The gluten-free oat milk-based drinks are made using PerfectTed’s ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji, Japan, and contain 60mg of “slow release” caffeine per can.

They are naturally sweetened with agave and contain no refined sugar or artificial sweeteners.

“Our mission is to make matcha as accessible as possible,” said PerfectTed co-founder Marisa Poster. “Consumers love the benefits, but not everyone has time to prepare it. With our canned matcha lattes, we’re making it easier than ever to enjoy a delicious, barista-quality matcha – anytime, anywhere.”

It comes after speciality coffee brand Grind this week launched a matcha collection – also featuring an RTD matcha latte – via DTC.

Founded by Poster and brothers Teddie and Levi Levenfiche in 2021, PerfectTed has quickly become the market leader for matcha, holding a 55% share of the category in UK grocery in January 2025 [North Star/Circana].

Its matcha green tea energy drinks are listed nationwide with the likes of Tesco, Waitrose, Asda and Holland & Barrett.

Last June, it released a matcha powder across the UK in Sainsbury’s. The range has since secured listings in Tesco, Morrisons, and Holland & Barrett.

In October, it added a three-strong range of Nespresso-compatible matcha pods.
