Lockley joined the business as sales director 18 months ago

Perfetti Van Melle has appointed Rob Lockley as its commercial managing director in the UK.

Lockley is an industry veteran, with three decades’ experience working for some of the UK’s leading fmcg brands including; Kelloggs, CCEP, Mars Wrigley and Müller.

From 2021 to 2023, he was sales director for startup Fulfil Nutrition, where he helped prepare the brand for acquisition by Ferrero.

Since joining Perfetti Van Melle as sales director 18 months ago, Lockley has played a leading role in boosting performance across its Mentos, Chupa Chups, Fruittella and Smint brands.

In his new role as commercial managing director, Lockley will continue driving growth by implementing clear focuses across the business.

The appointment comes at “a very exciting time for the business” which is valued at £131.6m, according to Circana data [52 w/e 28 December 2024].

“With Rob at the helm, 2025 is set to be another big year, capitalising on innovation and growing distribution across all channels,” said Perfetti Van Melle.
