KitKat is back on TV this month with a £2.5m push aimed at emphasising the 'low-calorie' content of the two-finger variety. Packs highlight the low-calorie message with a silver flash. The new design also includes product photography on the orange, mint, white and dark chocolate versions.
The TV campaign is based on the classic film The Snowman and shows Santa enjoying the treat without guilt. "Consumers are looking for more permissible options for snacks, in January more than any other month," said Graham Walker, UK trade communications manager.
A 21g two-finger KitKat has 107 calories.
