Pernod Ricard UK’s long-standing commercial director Chris Ellis is to step down, The Grocer can reveal.
Ellis will depart the spirits giant this summer after 16 years of service across numerous roles.
Pernod heralded his “considerable contribution” to the business, adding he ”leaves with PRUK having its highest-ever market share in the off and on-trade channels”.
Ian Peart, currently Pernod’s business development director, will take over the role of commercial director from 1 July.
Peart has worked for Pernod Ricard since 2006 in roles including field sales controller, business unit controller and channel director for the on-trade.
Pernod Ricard UK MD David Haworth said he was “delighted for Ian who has a wealth of industry experience having worked in the UK drinks industry for 28 years, the last 14 years at Pernod Ricard in a number of roles within the business.
“Chris goes with our very best wishes for his next adventure.”
