Unilever is marking the Queen’s 90th birthday on 21 April with the launch of celebratory designs for two of its major brands and the extension of the royal warrant of appointment across its portfolio.
Both Persil and Stork have been given limited-edition packaging, with the household cleaning brand’s Small & Mighty range of liquids featuring a crown image of a gold label and including a golden dosing ball.
Stork margarine tubs – both 500g and 1kg – sport a Union flag design with the strapline ‘Perfect for Royal Cakes’, while the bird logo wears a crown alongside the message ‘Happy 90th Birthday’.
Both brands have been granted a continuation of their royal warrants for the next five years alongside Unilever’s Colman’s and Hellmann’s, which will be joined for the first time by Marmite, Knorr and Comfort. All seven will bear the royal arms.
“As one of the UK’s leading fmcg suppliers, we’re delighted to be celebrating the Queen’s birthday,” said Jill Ross, vice president of customer development at Unilever.
“The commemorative packaging for Persil and Stork… will bring excitement to both categories and tap into the consumer demand for products that celebrate this landmark event.”
