Unilever has launched a promotion offering consumers the chance to win a personalised mug when they buy a pack of PG Tips Original 80s and 160s.
The promotion will run until the end of September, with 500,000 mugs available. Shoppers will find a code on the promotional pack, which they can then enter on the website to discover if they have won.
“Personalisation is a huge trend at the moment, and this exciting promotion will give PG Tips fans the chance to get their hands on their very own personalised mugs,” said Lola Danlos, brand manger for PG Tips.
“Whether they keep it for themselves, or give it as a gift to friends or family members, we are expecting them to be a huge hit with everyone.”
Sales at PG Tips dropped by 10.8% last year [Nielsen 52 w/e January 2016] as black tea fell out of fashion. Last autumn, the brand launched £4m multibrand campaign Keep It Tea to boost sales, and expanded to 20 variants in February.
