Sainsbury's has opened its largest store yet, with the extension of its Crayford site in Kent. The store, which is now more than 100,000 sq ft, is split almost 50-50 between food and non-food.
The latter is divided up over a 25,000 sq ft home and lifestyle section and a 20,000 sq ft mezzanine level housing a 2,575-strong TU clothing range. Sainsbury's also opened its largest store in Scotland, at Darnley, at 90,000 sq ft this week.
