Spar has long believed that small is beautiful nearly all of its 2,600 stores are smaller than 3,000 sq ft. So it's fitting that they have signed a small but deceptively powerful athlete as their mascot. Jenny Meadows known as the pocket rocket because she is just 5ft 1in tall has signed a three-year deal to endorse Spar. The 800m runner is one of the UK's great hopes to win a gold at the London Olympics in 2012.
