Waitrose has donated £67,500 to a university project to decode the waggle dance of honey bees.
Researchers hope to better understand how bees forage for food by studying the waggle dance they use to communicate with each other.
"We hope to ensure that farming is not inadvertently carrying out practices that could compromise bee life," said Waitrose technical manager Alan Wilson.
