Online retailer Prezzybox's egg-shaped device lets cooks know when their egg is perfectly cooked - by singing a tune. Beep Egg, which is dropped into the pan with the eggs, plays Killing me Softly for soft-boiled eggs, I wish I Was a Hen for medium-boiled and the X Factor judges' theme tune for hard boiled. The device, which uses heat sensors, costs £14.95.
