A Romanian restaurateur has won this year’s Food Photographer of the Year Award for a portrait of her grandfather eating an apple. The photo - entitled Tasty Apple - was taken by amateur photographer Alexandrina Paduretu.

This year’s awards, which saw 5,500 entries from 140 countries with 17 category winners, were sponsored by Pink Lady apples. Paduretu was also a category winner of the An Apple A Day category.
