Pip & Nut has moved into the world of nut butter cups for the first time.
Rolling out from today (1 November), the three-strong range comprises Milk Chocolate Peanut, Dark Chocolate Peanut and Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Cup flavours.
Each 34g pack contains two cups (rsp: £1.49).
The NPD is gluten-free and uses single-origin Colombian chocolate from supplier Casa Luker, which invests back into local communities through infrastructure, social and agroforestry projects.
It will be stocked in Boots, Ocado, Whole Foods Market and independents.
The palm oil-free cups were developed after a survey by the brand discovered that more than half of Pip & Nut customers claimed to have a sweet treat most evenings and afternoons, with nuts and chocolate fulfilling this need.
“Time and time again we had consumers asking us to make nut butter cups,” said founder Pippa Murray. “In fact, some of our most engaged Instagram posts on Pip & Nut’s Instagram were those featuring nut butter cups.”
“Over the last five years we’ve perfected the primary ingredient, nut butter, so it feels like a no-brainer for us to bring our expertise in nut butter to this new product range and category.”
