The three top sellers now in smaller plastic formats

Pizza Express salad dressings are being expanded into chilled.

Three top-selling ambient lines - House, House Light and Caesar Light - will also be available chilled in Asda and Waitrose from this month (rsp: £1.49). They will come in 163ml plastic bottles as opposed to the 235ml glass bottles (rsp: £1.99) in the ambient range.

All About Food, which also holds brands including MasterChef and Nando’s, said it hoped to attract consumers who typically didn’t visit the ambient aisle. Own label dominated chilled and the presence of a brand would offer more choice, it said.

The launch will be supported with price promotions to drive trial.
