Prudential has unveiled plans for a 300,000 sq ft extension to its 1.1 million sq ft Arndale Centre in Manchester. Anchored by a new four level department store of 160,000 sq ft, there will also be morel than 60 new shops including five large stores, a new single level market hall, and a 33,000 sq ft health and leisure club. A new mall, New Cannon Street, will provide a mix of uses designed to create a traditional high street feel. And there will be 24 hour access to both New Cannon Street and Dantzic Street. The 800 seater branded food court Foodchain, on the southern side of the Arndale Centre, will open in October with seven food outlets, a coffee bar, four shopping kiosks and a children's play area. {{PROPERTY }}
