Red meat processor St Merryn Foods said this week it was looking for more British new season organic lamb to fulfil increasing supply volumes to Tesco.
The company, which is part of the Grampian Country Food Group, urged south west and South Wales-based lamb producers who previously supplied Lloyd Maunder to get in touch. Last year, Lloyd Maunder lost a contract to supply fresh lamb to Sainsbury and last week announced the closure of its lamb business.
