Plusfood - the European arm of the world’s biggest poultry exporter - has launched a new brand of frozen chicken snacks inspired by world cuisine.
Chixxs, which is free from artificial flavours, colours and preservatives, is the second Plusfood brand to enter UK retail after its Perfect For Eating In hit Tesco stores last September.
The range comprises three lines: Indian masala chicken goujons (270g) - 100% breast fillet in coriander, cumin, cardamom, garlic & chilli breadcrumb American hot chilli chicken wings (480g) - chicken wings in a paprika and black pepper coating and Italian pesto chicken bites (280g) - chicken breast in a basil, oregano, parmesan, black pepper, garlic & paprika coating.
“Chixxs will be a popular snack for customers looking for impromptu dining, classy snacking with drinks, as well as stylish party food,” said UK marketing manager Vera Malhorta. The range would consolidate Plusfood’s growing presence in the UK and the global importance of its parent BRF, she added.
The full Chixx range went into Tesco nationwide this week, at a trial price of £2.00. The rsp is £2.49.
