Asda was one of just two companies found to be in breach of The Portman Group's voluntary drinks marketing code last year.
The retailer was named and shamed for its Bubbly & Bear gift pack, produced by Blue Sky Beverages.
The pack, containing a bottle of Champagne and a teddy bear, was deemed to appeal to under-18s and therefore in breach of the voluntary code. The retailer has since removed the gift pack from its shelves and apologised.
Inver House Distillers also fell foul of the code for its Big Beastie and Wee Beastie RTD products. The brand website has been closed and the company is consulting with the group about a packaging change.
Overall, the industry watchdog received just eight complaints concerning irresponsible marketing of alcoholic drinks. David Poley, chief executive attributed the low number to the fact that the industry was more aware of the code.
A newly revised code will be published this spring.
