Premium popcorn brand Tyrrells Poshcorn is launching its first-ever limited edition variant, Strawberries & Cream.
Rolling out from 1 March, the flavour - inspired by the dessert of choice at summer sports events - will be available until the end of September in 75g sharing bags (rsp: £1.59) and 22g handy packs (rsp: 79p). Listings are expected to be confirmed later.
As the popcorn category grows at 30% year on year [Nielsen 52 w/e 2 January 2016], The line is the first of what will be an ongoing seasonal programme for the brand, with developments for a 2016 winter variant already under way in development.
“Our new Strawberries & Cream seasonal launch is part of a sustained programme of marketing support for Poshcorn this year, as we make the most of this really exciting growth category,” said Jocelyn McNulty, Tyrrells marketing director.
“We’ve had a fantastic response from retailers who see Tyrrells as a natural fit within specific British-themed summer promotions. Let’s hope Murray stands out as much as our bright new pack this summer.”
The launch will be supported by PR, social media and regional sampling activity.
