Pot Noodle has added a new kebab-inspired flavour and reformulated its Lost the Pot block noodle range.
Doner Kebab has joined the core lineup after being voted as the winning flavour by consumers on social media.
The NPD was pitted against Mexican Fajitas as a potential new addition to the core range, and won after nearly 100,000 customers took part in the vote across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
It follows the launch of Piri-Piri Chicken, which rolled out in response to consumer feedback last year.
The instant noodle giant has also reformulated its Lost The Pot range of block noodles.
It has added a new Smokin’ BBQ flavour and renamed its revamped Chicken and Curry flavours as Champion Chicken and Chip Shop Curry.
The block noodle category had seen a “surge in popularity due to people continuing to work from home and shoppers looking for more cost-effective, quick and easy meals amid the cost of living crisis”, it said.
All products will roll exclusively into Asda today (7 July), with a wider retail rollout planned for the weeks ahead (rsp: 70p-80p).
It comes after Pot Noodle last year debuted its Fusions range to tap the demand for “Asian-inspired flavours”.
