Unilever is spicing up its Pot Noodle brand with a Piri Piri chicken flavour.
Rolling out to retailers this month, and supported as part of a brand-wide £1.4m push, the snack (rsp: £1.10/90g) is tapping into growing consumer taste for hotter sauces, and comes in black and red packaging to highlight the “fiery flavour” of the product.
Pot Noodle holds a 49% value share of the instant hot snacks market, with value sales up 4.1% year-on-year [IRI 12 m/e April 2013].
