Pot Noodle has launched its new Fusions range to tap the demand for “Asian-inspired flavours”.
The trio of flavours – which comprises Katsu Curry, Chilli Chicken and Green Thai Curry – has rolled into selected retailers (rsp: £1.39/100g).
The “more adventurous” SKUs would bring newcomers to the category, but also provide something new for existing fans of the brand, it said.
They were also vegan, which was in line with Unilever’s wider Future Foods ambition of moving towards more plant-based products, it added.
This isn’t the first time the brand has introduced a dedicated Asian-inspired range.
In April 2019, it unveiled its Asian Street Style sub-brand, which included Thai Red Curry, Malaysian Laksa, Japanese Miso Noodle Soup and Vietnamese Beef Pho flavours.
Last June, it ditched its signature pot format completely in a bid to broaden its appeal with a trio of ‘Lost The Pot Noodles’.
The noodle blocks were billed as containing 30% less saturated fat than competitor brands.
