Pernod Ricard has reorganised its UK business in an effort to improve service to its customers.
PR Brands UK and Caxton Wines have been combined to form Pernod Ricard UK which came into existence on Monday.
The aim is to make the best use of both operations and combine their resources while retaining specialist capabilities and expertise.
The new company's commercial function has been divided into five business groups, two each for the on and off-trades and one covering the wholesale cash and carry sector.
A spokeswoman for the company said: "There will be a more dedicated team of people working on customers' accounts. The joint marketing and sales forces will have greater resources available.
"For the first time the wine business will have a dedicated on-trade team."
Chief executive Gilles Cambournac said: "This is a natural evolution which will have a positive impact and benefits for our customers. It will be structured to provide the capability to expand and enhance our offer while maintaining the best aspects of service and expertise."
