Premier Foods is adding smaller jars to its Hartley's jam range to appeal to smaller households and occasional users.
The 250g jars are being rolled out now in the brand's bestselling strawberry, seedless raspberry, apricot and blackcurrant flavours (rsp: £1.09). The launch was the "logical next step for Hartley's", said David Atkinson, general manager of sweet spreads at Premier Foods.
"The format leaves us open to further innovation as consumers are more inclined to trial new flavours in smaller jars," he added.
