Two former Premier Foods directors have secured high-profile roles within the industry.
Grocery brands director Mark Tyldesley has been named CEO of household cleaning products company Jeyes, while ex-marketing director Jon Goldstone, who left Premier in February, has been named vice-president of brand-building, foods and ice cream at Unilever.
At Premier Foods, Tyldesley delivered two years of double digit year-on-year growth and ran a portfolio of brands including Sharwood’s, Loyd Grossman, Bisto, Branston, Oxo and Batchelors.
In his new role, Tyldesley said he planned to revitalise Jeyes. “Jeyes is a company with huge potential,” he said.
“I’m truly excited about taking this stabilised business to a new period of growth, winning UK consumers’ hearts and minds and continuing to grow our strategic international businesses. Our brands are strong in their sectors and the business delivers quality products to the own label sector as well.
“There are great new product development ideas in the pipeline, and the organisation is robust,” he added.
Prior to Premier, Tyldesley was category director for baby, beauty and toiletries at Tesco, and spent 16 years with Procter & Gamble.
Goldstone, meanwhile, takes over at Unilever from Hazel Destiny, who is going on maternity leave, though Goldstone will be given a permanent role.
He will work across brands including Flora and Ben & Jerry’s and report to Unilever UK chairman Amanda Sourry.
Goldstone left Premier as part of a management shake-up. He was best known for commissioning a £30m Hovis ad. He has also worked for Kraft Foods, Coca-Cola, Campbell’s and PepsiCo.
