South African producer The Company of Wine People is boosting the premium appeal of Arniston Bay with a new Limited Release tier, which will be available for just a month.
The Co-operative Group will be the exclusive stockist of the new range, consisting of a 2007 Shiraz and a 2008 Sauvignon Blanc, arriving next week. It will initially have an rsp of £3.99 as part of a three-week half-price offer.
Brand and business development manager Barney Davis claimed the Limited Release range would meet demand for more premium varieties. “Limited Release is a high-quality premium wine made with grapes from the Western Cape,” said Davis. “We are delighted to launch it exclusively with a retail partner who shares our commitment to the highest quality at fair prices.”
The launch comes a month after Arniston Bay introduced its first sparkling range to the UK to tap into rising enthusiasm for bubbly and a year after it launched into pouches.
