Beer importer Pierhead is launching a super-premium Alhambra Reserva 1925 beer into the UK.
The 6.4% abv beer is brewed with Spanish spring water sourced from the Sierra Nevada mountains to a traditional batch fermentation process that takes several weeks and produces a full-bodied, extra smooth beer. Positioned to be drunk on its own or with tapas, barbecued meat and salads, it comes in slender green 330ml glass bottles.
Michael Cook, director of imported beer for Pierhead, said: "Reserva has long been regarded as the finest Spanish beer and we are confident it will prove very popular in the UK. The beer will hopefully establish itself in the imported bottled beer market, which currently lacks a Spanish beer of its stature."
Alhambra Reserva 1925 joins Pierhead's global beer range, which includes Gold Bohemia from the Czech Republic and French premium blonde ale Jenlain Six, both launched in the UK earlier this year.
