Wholesale distributor Pricecheck has launched a new business change department, to help accelerate progress towards its target of £200m turnover within five years.
Staff in the newly created department will be tasked with guiding improvements to the organisation’s structure, processes, systems and technologies by rotating across different areas of the business and relaying findings.
The department will be headed by Helen Coulthard, who joined from Bestway three years ago and has over a decade of experience in wholesale distribution, and Rebecca Walker, who has a depth of knowledge accrued across 20 years at Pricecheck.
“The best part about Business Change is being able to work on projects that make a real difference to the company,” said Helen Coulthard.
“But most importantly, it’s about improving efficiencies within our teams and asking ourselves how we can create a more holistic approach throughout the business.”
The move follows a series of organisational improvements in the last few years, including the creation of a brand academy to ensure consistency of product knowledge amongst staff.
The business continued to grow throughout Covid and is targeting ambitious turnover of £130m for the financial year ending April 2023, after an impressive 28% surge in Q1.
Pricecheck joint MD Debbie Harrison said: “In any business, change is crucial to drive innovation, staff development and business growth opportunities.
“By having our own team of experts that thrive from this constant change, we can do business better, and innovate more effectively as a company.”
