Casa Girelli has added a Primitivo di Puglia to its Canaletto winemaker's choice range.
Managing director Stefano Girelli said: "Primitivo is a grape with great character and Puglia is one of Italy's most exciting wine regions."
The Canaletto range was revamped in 1998 following the appointment of chief wine maker Andrea Valentinuzzi.
He sourced the grapes for the new wine from low yielding vineyards in the south of the region.
It is available through importer Vinexports and will retail at £4.99. It will be supported by point of sale material.
