Kavli is giving its Primula cream cheese brand a seasonal feel by launching a special edition Stilton & Apricot variety.
Aimed at Christmas canapés and snacks, as well as main meals, the newcomer comes in the trademark Primula squeezy tube.
Marketing director Craig Brooks said: “We are always looking for exciting new flavours and product ideas. Our customer research has led us to develop more contemporary flavours to sit alongside our traditional favourites.”
Brooks said the cheese spread market was now worth £70m with the Primula brand growing 8% in the 12 weeks to November 1 to claim an 18% share of the category [AC Nielsen].
