Princes has entered mixers with a trio of blended juice drinks.
Three “mouth-watering” flavours – Strawberry Mojito, Passionfruit Martini and Blackberry Bramble – have rolled into Asda and will hit shelves in Tesco and Morrisons over the coming weeks (rsp: £2.50/one litre).
They are low in calories, contain no added sugar, and are made from not-from-concentrate juice and fruit purées.
The drinks were intended to be mixed with alcohol or enjoyed by themselves in a glass over ice “for an even more refreshing, mocktail taste”, said Princes.
Princes senior development chef Simon Stokes said the drinks were “the perfect answer to an increasing consumer demand for alcohol alternatives” as they tasted “as good as the real thing”.
“I’m especially excited by this new launch for Princes and am looking forward to seeing the reaction from the public when they get a chance to try these out.”
The mixers join a raft of recent launches by juice and smoothie brands hoping to tap new drinking occasions.
Innocent, for instance, debuted a line of grown-up juices called Twists in March to target evening occasions.
Tropicana, meanwhile, added two new flavours – Passionfruit Punch and Raspberry & Mango Sunset – to its Sensations range in March to target “later-in-the-day consumption occasions”.
