A greater focus on private label has sent sales of own-brand lines at Landmark Wholesale surging.
August was the wholesaler's best month in 2010 for own-label sales, which were up 29% on last August. Sales of No3 tobacco were boosted by the addition of a hand rolling line while LSV energy drinks saw "substantial growth".
Landmark also said it was expecting great things from its Great Value Everyday campaign, launched last month. This flags up a core range of 122 own-label lines in depots and lets retailers know how much profit they can anticipate from each line.
