Proper Snacks has teamed up with Netflix to launch a “pillow-sized” popcorn pack.
Sweet & Salty is now available in a 280g format (rsp: £3.50), which is the equivalent of 10 servings – four times the size of its standard 90g sharing bag.
The NPD has launched exclusively into Tesco.
Designed with sharing in mind, the pillow-sized pack was intended to “encourage people to enjoy a big night in”, said Proper Snacks.
It is Proper Snacks’ second collaborative product launch with Netflix, following the rollout of limited-edition Netflix & Chilli Caramel popcorn packs (rsp: £1.90/90g) last month.
“Netflix is the number one streaming platform in the world and has transformed the way we spend time at home,” said Proper Snacks founder Cassandra Stavrou.
“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to creating connection and re-imagining everyday moments,” Stavrou added.
Netflix isn’t Proper Snacks’ first big-name brand partner. Last summer, the snacking challenger teamed up with Warner Bros Pictures to launch a Barbie-themed on-pack promotion, and with KFC to launch a Popcorn Chicken popcorn variant.
This latest launch comes after Proper Snacks expanded its core popcorn range with a trio of savoury flavours – Tangy Chilli, Smoky & Sweet Paprika and Cracked Black Pepper & Salt – in August.
