Coca-Cola is planning a sequel to its cokeauction. co.uk initiative. In conjunction with QXL.com it will run The Real Coke Rush where consumers can bid online for "money can't buy" prizes such as white water rafting trips.
Promotional cans and 500ml bottles are being distributed to retailers for the February 26 launch, which will be supported by advertising on TV and in teen titles.
The first cokeauction (which ran from August to December last year) prompted 150,000 consumers to register with the site. Over four million promotional ring pulls/labels were collected and consumers bid for over 80,000 prizes.
