Pukka Pies has named Deborah Ewan as its new CEO, replacing Rachael Bouch at the head of the Leicestershire company.
Ewan took on her new role this week, having previously spent three years at 2 Sisters, first as divisional commercial director of food to go, bakery & pizza, and then as commercial director of meal solutions.
Having begun her career in household goods, she has 10 years’ experience in grocery, including two years with Bernard Matthews as UK commercial director and five years at Greencore, where she was category commercial director for prepared meals, bakery, soup & sauces.
Ewan will be tasked in her Pukka role to continue the family-owned business’ three-year growth strategy, and oversee phase two of its brand relaunch and £8m marketing campaign.
She would bring “her energy and enthusiasm to further build on our planned strategy for Pukka Pies’ growth” said Pukka directors Tim and Andrew Storer.
Her predecessor, Bouch, left after five years to become SHS group MD for condiments & sauces (replacing Ian James, who is retiring after 20 years at the helm).
“While we will be sorry to see her go, we wish her every success in the future,” the Storers said.
