PZ Cussons, which manufactures products including Imperial Leather, Original Source and Charles Worthington, has acquired The Sanctuary Spa Holdings for £75m.
The deal includes premium beauty and body care brand The Sanctuary and The Sanctuary Spa based in Covent Garden, London.
“We see considerable opportunities to create further value from The Sanctuary business, through combining our new product and brand development expertise with theirs, developing the brand's international sales and exploring opportunities to develop the spa concept further,” said PZ Cussons group CEO Alex Kanellis.
PZ Cussons this morning reported an 8% increase in half-year pre-tax profit to £32.5m on sales up 7% at £299.5m. Its Personal Wash Centre of Excellence, which is currently being built in Manchester, is on schedule with production expected to start in the spring.
