PepsiCo has announced a raft of Quaker Oats NPD, including a free-from variant and a yoghurt-based breakfast pouch range.
Available from 26 September, the new gluten-free offering will be available in two formats: a 510g canister of Traditional Rolled Oats (rsp: £2.49) and a 350g box of 10 Oat So Simple sachets (rsp: £2.99).
“Leading a gluten-free lifestyle is important and necessary for some people, and so Quaker has created options to meet consumer demand,” said PepsiCo’s Jeremy Gibson, marketing director, nutrition.
The launch follows the introduction earlier this month of the pouch line-up Oat & Fruit Breakfast, comprising fruit purée and natural yoghurt (rsp: £1.39/200g). The on-the-go offering comes in three flavours: Red Fruits, Apple & Cinnamon, and Blueberry. Initially available in Tesco stores only, the new product will be supported with a social media campaign and in-store shopper activity.
Also arriving on shelf this month is Oat Muesli, a cereal with no added sugar and three variants - Strawberry, Nuts & Seeds and Dates & Coconut - in a 650g resealable pouch (rsp: £2.69).
“We are particularly excited by the launch of our new breakfast pouch range, as demand for convenient breakfast options is at a peak,” said Duncan McKay, PepsiCo’s senior marketing manager for grains UK. “Oat & Fruit Breakfast is unique to the market.”
This week, Quaker kicked off a TV campaign to support its Super Goodness range. Set to run for five weeks, the advert highlights the nutritional benefits of the new Super Fruits sub-range.
