PepsiCo is set to launch Super Goodness, a range of Quaker Oats porridge sachets with ‘enhanced nutritional qualities’, as the brand aims to bolster a rise in sales.
Available from 25 July, the new line-up has been developed to “meet increasing consumer demand for positive nutrition in the form of simple, wholesome ingredients”. It will comprise three Super Grains variants – Original (rsp: £2.99/10x30.7g), Apple, Cinnamon & Raisin (rsp: £2.99/8x38.1g) and Raspberry & Cranberry (rsp: £2.99/10x38.5g) – and two Super Fruits flavours: Blueberry, Cranberry & Guava (rsp: £2.99/10x35g) and Raspberry, Apple & Acai (rsp: £2.99/10x35.6g).
Quaker value sales are up 2.5% to £139.3m, which the brand attributed to younger shoppers seeking out convenient breakfast formats.
“Taste, health and convenience continue to be important drivers at breakfast time, but consumers are also increasingly seeking a wholesome breakfast which is made with nutritious ingredients,” said Duncan McKay, senior marketing manager.
“While Quaker continues to deliver strong results, we believe there is further opportunity to grow the cereals category by tapping into the demand for products which offer additional health benefits,” he added.
