Northern discounter Quality Save has reported sales growth despite operating in a ‘competitive environment’.
The retailer, which runs 22 discount stores across Yorkshire and the North West, has grown sales by 2.2% to £58.1m for the year ending 31 March 2016, according to results filed at Companies House.
Pre-tax profits for the period were down 25.8% to £1m but the group said it was pleased with the result ‘given the competitive environment in which the company operates’.
For the year ahead, the family-owned business said it planned to develop by opening new stores and despite facing many competitors, its business model would enable it to remain competitive.
