Organic dairy brand Rachel’s has launched a Greek-style Lemon & Gin yoghurt to celebrate its 25-year relationship with Sainsbury’s.
The yoghurt will be available exclusively in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide from 22 May (rsp: £2/450g).
The brand hopes to tap into the increasing popularity of gin with the new offering, and claims it is an “irresistible burst of freshness which you can enjoy pre-5pm”.
“We are thrilled to celebrate 25 years of working with Sainsbury’s and are extremely proud of how far Rachel’s has come since it secured its first listing in the supermarket all those years ago,” said Daniel Wheeler, marketing manager at Rachel’s.
“We are committed to providing consumers with innovative flavour combinations and feel our new Greek-style Lemon & Gin is a pertinent one for such an occasion. We’re confident this combination will prove popular with consumers, given that it heroes the current tipple of choice.”
Sainsbury’s and The Collective both launched gin-flavoured yoghurts in 2016. Sainsbury’s unveiled a Brambleberry & Gin variant in December, while The Collective’s Black Berries & Sloe Gin yoghurt launched in October.
